After being one of the ten innovative startups selected to participate in the first LafargeHolcim Accelerator alongside partners CCCC and Sika, BulldozAIR is proud to announce the start of the 6-month program this past May 23rd.
The program has the objective to discover new and pioneering startups around the world to bring technology and innovation to today’s construction sector. As previously mentioned, the program’s organizers are three of the most prominent players in the building industry worldwide:
- LafargeHolcim: Swiss multinational and world’s leader on construction materials and solutions.
- CCCC: Large Chinese construction company engaged in design and construction of transportation infrastructure, and responsible for the Longjiang Bridge, one of the longest and highest bridges in the world.
- Sika: Swiss specialty chemicals company developing products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protecting.
The program’s participants of this first edition include small enterprises and startups in the field of design and engineering, materials, logistics, construction equipment, construction services as well as demolition and waste management. All which aim to connect and create partnerships with leaders in the construction industry, meet influential players in the sector as well as potential investors; on top of the tailored coaching and mentoring that the program offers.
During the first 2-day onboarding session, which started on May 23rd, participants were able to discover LafargeHolcim’s R&D Center located in Lyon, which aims to support innovative initiatives in the construction sector. Moreover, BulldozAIR met its mentors and was able to discuss with them what success meant in the context of the program. Additionally, BulldozAIR also had the opportunity to meet the other nine startups participating in the program, as well as other important guests in the construction field.
After the onboarding session, the next step in the program was the Summer Camp, a 3-day activity which started on July 10th. The Summer Camp’s aim is to help the startups prepare for the last phase of the program, Demo Day, which ultimately has as the goal the creation of long-lasting partnerships between startups and corporates. During this opportunity, BulldozAIR was able to continue discussions with mentors and industry experts on market opportunities, key criteria to consider when working with corporates and many other important topics that will help BulldozAIR prepare for the upcoming months of the program. All of this, with the ultimate goal of developing long-term partnerships with key global players in the building sector as expressed by Stephane Labrousse, head of Partnerships in BulldozAIR: “We look forward to upscaling our on-going collaboration and finding new international business opportunities with LafargeHolcim, Sika, and CCCC.”
In conclusion, the LafargeHolcim’s Accelerator programs is an excellent opportunity for BulldozAIR to continue growing and improving, furthering its mission of enabling increased speed and accuracy of information sharing among corporate owners and managers, allowing construction teams to add more value to their work as well as enabling construction professionals to take control of their operational projects while improving the overall excellence of their whole organization. BulldozAIR is very excited to participate in this insightful program and looks forward to continuing working with great mentors and partners such as LafargeHolcim, CCCC, and Sika.
